our own free standing, youth dedicated facilities.
Our Clubs are open daily for after school activities
and all day when schools are closed for meetings, spring break and
summer. We have a swimming pool, gymnasium, athletic fields, and
outside basketball courts.
We serve
the entire community!
Adults and children from the community use our fields
and facilities for company picnics, softball games, soccer, basketball,
parties and other events.
We are members of the nations oldest and largest youth
Movement-Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This gives us access
to nationally field tested successful youth development programs
such as SMART Moves, Power Hour, Project Learn, Club Tech, Fitness
Challenge.
We have
a diverse Board of Directors.
Our Board is made up of a diverse group of local
business owners, parents, and community leaders who actively contribute
financially to Boys & Girls Clubs.
We prepare
youth for college success.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer leadership conferences,
tutoring, college visits, SAT preparation, application reviews,
and scholarship assistance.
Our education
initiative works!
In 2001, 94% of participants in a reading and math
enhancement program improved their standardized test scores. One
hundred percent (100%) of the participants were promoted to the
next grade level.
We collaborate
with community organizations and businesses!
